Abstract: Abstract. In recent years, cyberattacks have increased worldwide, often fueled by escalating international conflicts. As a result, nations are investing heavily in cybersecurity measures to prevent data leaks, mitigate damage, and protect the integrity of their information systems. What is Cybersecurity? Cybersecurity refers to a set of technical, organizational, and legal measures designed to safeguard information systems. Each country has developed its own institutions and frameworks to achieve these goals. Cybersecurity in the United States The U.S. has implemented several cybersecurity laws, enforced by specialized executive agencies. Some key pieces of legislation include: 1. The National Cybersecurity Protection Act 2. The Cybersecurity Enhancement Act The U.S. strategy focuses on preserving and enhancing the benefits of digital networks for societal and economic development. As President Barack Obama stated on May 29, 2009: “This world—cyberspace—is a world that we depend on every single day… [it] has made us more interconnected than at any time in human history.” Cybersecurity in Australia In Australia, the cyber police cooperate with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to bolster cybersecurity. The country has also passed the Amendments to Cybercrime Legislation and established Australia's Cybersecurity Strategy, which follows a four-step approach: 1. Protection and Prevention 2. Investigation 3. Disruption and Prosecution 4. Recovery 5. Cybersecurity in Poland Poland’s Ministry of Administration and Digital Technology has its own strategy. The country aims to establish a legal and organizational framework for cybersecurity while improving the distribution and exchange of information among users.
